Angel Partners is the first episode of Angel of Death's first season. It introduces the main characters and some of the villains.

The episode opens at the Mexopolis Museum of Natural History, where a tour guide (Reina in disguise) is teaching visitors at the museum about the museum's prized possession the Mictlantecuhtli , which has the ability to control the minds of Corpses when exposed to the light of a full moon. Just as she finishes, Sergio   bursts in through the skylight, and after a somewhat embarrassing introduction of himself (he gets confused with two other villains, and finds out that nobody in the museum knows who he is, then he explains to them), and manages to steal Mictlantecuhtli. Reina had a cat collar to turn herself into a super natural being cat agent and goes after Sergio. Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Manny is playing with his new chew toy (accidentally injuring his widowed mother in the process), which lands in the back of the Devil truck, and Manny gives chase to it, harming Reina in the process. Once inside their headquarters, Sergio announces his plans for the Mictlantecuhtli and how he'll use his fellow corpses to commit crimes around the city... then Manny bursts in, completely oblivious as to what's happening, still after his toy, and injures  while trying to get it. Sergio assumes that Manny's come to get the Mictlanetecuhtli, only to find out that Manny just wanted his toy back. They both laugh this off, and Sergio uses this to escape, while all Manny can do is just say "Wow, what a weird and creepy dude." As soon as this happens, Reina, along with several AODF Agents, and Greg, arrive. Reina is intent on arresting Manny for "interfering with her operation", but Greg is more concerned as to how Manny managed to tackle three of the city's most wanted criminals.

Back at Death  HQ, Manny is subjected to various tests, where it's discovered that he has the abilities of every form of devil there is (and a hellhound, which Bella can't quite explain). After seeing Manny manage to injure at least five Death scientists, Greg  instantly decides to make him a Death. Agent, with Reina as his trainer. Despite Reina's protests (and a brief fight scene/slap fight with Manny), Greg puts them back on the case. Heading to the pier where Sergio's escape pod landed, the two begin to search... well, Reina actually searches, Manny just talks about how awesome having a cape would be. They then fall into one of Sergio's traps, and are later tied up, with brain masks on their heads. Sergio then proceeds with his plan, and uses Manny and Reina as an appetizer for his corpse army. Reina then tells Manny to use his supernatural abilities of smell to tell her where the corpses are coming from, and gains an advantage over the corpses. Manny then backflips into the air, resulting in his brain mask slipping off, and rolls around in it, causing brains to seep into the ropes and the corpses to unwittingly gnaw them off. Once free, the Reina and Manny then proceed to beat up the corpses. Sergio then boasts that he still has the Lord of Mictlan and will still go through with this plan. However, he ends up falling into a cage beneath him, thanks to Manny pressing a release button for the catwalk to collapse under his feet.

The following day, the lord of mictlan is returned to the museum, and Manny gets a new suit with a cape. He then decides that he wants to press a button in the Death Moblie, despite Reina's warnings. Manny presses it anyway and is ejected out of his chair. Reina says that maybe working with Manny might not be so bad... and gets hurt when Manny crashes onto her and the Death. Mobile.
